The Whale Shark is feeds by straining food particles from water and therefore is termed as a filter feeder or a suspension feeder. They typically pass water or a specialized structure to feed. The mouth of the Whale Shark measure up to five feet. It's mouth can contain up to three hundred and fifty rows of teeth. The shark has a flat and wide head and its eyes are located towards the front of the head.

Top Reality | 10 Largest Sharks In The World |  There are more than 360 species split across 8 orders of sharks.  Some sharks are predators and some are perfectly safe.  Some sharks are large and some sharks are small, but humans in general are fascinated with size and because of this I have compiled a list of the 10 largest sharks in the world.

The Bigeye Thresher shark, Alopias superciliosus,  is the 10th biggest shark in the world.  The Bigeye Thresher can be found in tropical oceans around the world and can be found at depths up to 1650 feet deep.  Bigeye Thresher sharks are of a purplish grey color and can reach lengths up to 15.1 feet long and can weigh up to 795 lbs.

The only other species is the Japanese giant salamander, which is the second largest in the world, nearly as big as the Chinese giant salamander. It has a dark wrinkly skin, that is usually brown, black or greenish in color and it is irregularly blotched. The skin is smooth, and porosed which allows it to respire underwater because it has no gills. It has very small eyes and no eyelids and a large, flat head. It has extremely poor eyesight and relies on sensory nodes on its head and body that allow it to detect any changes in water pressure and any movement in the water enabling this extremely large salamander to capture its prey. It has an elongated body, a rounded snout and two sets of legs that are very similar in size. It has tubercles on the head and throat. The tubercles are arranged in rows parallel to the lower jaw. In captivity, this salamander has lived for 52 years. 

Top Reality | Oldest Living Tree Found in Sweden | The world's oldest known living tree, a conifer that first took root at the end of the last Ice Age, has been discovered in Sweden, researchers say.
The visible portion of the 13-foot-tall (4-meter-tall) "Christmas tree" isn't ancient, but its root system has been growing for 9,550 years, according to a team led by Leif Kullman, professor at Umeå University's department of ecology and environmental science in Sweden.

Discovered in 2004, the lone Norway spruce of the species traditionally used to decorate European homes during Christmas represents the planet's longest-lived identified plant, Kullman said.
The researchers found the shrubby mountain survivor at an altitude of 2,985 feet (910 meters) in Dalarna Province.
The tree's incredible longevity is largely due to its ability to clone itself, Kullman said.
The spruce's stems or trunks have a lifespan of around 600 years, "but as soon as a stem dies, a new one emerges from the same root stock," Kullman explained. "So the tree has a very long life expectancy."

Baiji (Yangtze River Dolphin) - With no more than a few tens of individuals, the dolphin is one of the world’s rarest mammals, and a victim of China’s breakneck economic growth, competing for food with the human beings. It has been driven to extinction due to the activity in 50 years, this being the fourth time when an entire evolutionary line of mammals has vanished from the face of the Earth since the year 1500. The main reason for this fact are the numerous dams and barrages, built starting in the 1930’s, that have fragmented the population and reduced the amount of available habitat. There are news that the species is functionally extinct, experts still searching for members of the species. Fingers crossed!
